Nikon D5000 filter lens cap?
I recently bought a Nikon D5000 and was told to buy a lens filter protection. Any recommendations? It is a 52mm lens?
Look at your goal, there will be a symbol that looks like an "o" with a "/" through it. The number next to it is the size of filter you need. Buy a UV filter, they are cheap and clear. But I recommend going with an optical filter of high quality, not those they sell in electronics stores. They are OK, but you have a good objective, why stick with a cheap piece of glass in front of it? Search HMC Hoya, B + W, Heliopan, Tiffin, etc. It will cost a little more, but filters are optically superior. Everything I use on my lenses are Hoya HMC and B + W. Oh, and ignore "digital" filters is gadget.
